Gareth Hoskin (Chairman) - Legal & General International Director
After graduating, Gareth joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant,
working in the London Audit and Business Advisory Services. During his time at PwC, he spent two years working in
the Melbourne PwC practice. He joined Legal & General as Finance Director for the UK operations, before moving to
the business unit responsible for product, marketing and IFA distribution. Thereafter he became responsible for
Group resources, including Human Resources, and most recently become International Director.
Sanjeev Baijal (Deputy Chairman) - Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer,
Finance & Strategic Development
Sanjeev graduated from Loyola College in India. His previous roles include the Group Head of Finance for Ahli United Bank
in Bahrain, the Financial Controller for Al-Ahli Commercial Bank in Bahrain, Ernst & Young in Bahrain and Price Waterhouse
in India. Sanjeev is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and an Associate Member
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ACA).
Rajeev Gogia (Board Member) - Group Head of Strategic Development
Rajeev is currently working as the Group Head of Strategy at Ahli United Bank in Bahrain. Previously he was an Executive
Consultant at KPMG Consulting in the U.A.E between 1999 and 2004 and a Senior Division Head of Strategic Development at
the National Bank of Dubai between 2004 and 2007. Rajeev is an associate member of the Institute of Charted Accountants
of India (ACA).
Ian Viney (Board Member) - Legal & General Commercial Development Director
Ian started in the life insurance industry in 1978 as a sales agent. He left Australia in the early 1990's and has lived and
worked in Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Egypt and the UK. Ian has been involved in the startup of several new life insurance
companies. Most recently he was the Managing Director of Legal & General's joint venture life company in Egypt, and prior to
that was the Managing Director of Legal & General's non-life company in the UK.
Abdulla Al Raeesi (Board Member) - Deputy Group CEO,
Abdulla is a qualified Banking Professional with over 26 years of international experience in various banking areas, including
but not limited to, Commercial / Retail Banking, Islamic Banking, Investment Banking, Banking Operations, IT, E-banking, Finance,
Human Resources and Administration. His extensive experience also includes corporate strategic planning, product development,
institutional restructuring and integrating IT with business strategy for the creation of banks' business performance and
competitive edge, for a spectrum of organisations in the GCC, Egypt, UK, Portugal, Holland, Hong Kong, France, Brunei and
Tanzania.
Manfred Maske (Board Member) - Managing Director, Legal & General Gulf
and Legal & General Gulf Takaful
Manfred joined Legal & General in 2003, starting in Actuarial and moving to the International division in 2007. Prior to this he
worked for PwC in their life actuarial consultancy, following relocation from South Africa. Manfred qualified as a Fellow of the
Institute of Actuaries whilst in South Africa and worked in a range of roles for Old Mutual and Momentum Life. Prior to embarking
on an actuarial career, he lectured in Statistics and Mathematics at the University of Cape Town.
